Important Covid - 19 Updates

Policies and Changes 

        This is a difficult time for businesses as we are setting out guidelines based on somewhat vague regulations to keep our staff and clients safe. This is particularly challenging as our team is unable to keep an adequate distance from clients, and unlike chiropractors or other therapists, we often spend hours at a time nearly face-to-face. We recognize that masks, particularly ones not medical grade, are unproven in their effectiveness, we are stepping forward into the unknown with as much caution as possible for the sake of our team.


As such, we will be temporarily requiring all clients and staff of Crimson Oath Tattoo to wear masks at all times. While this may not be a perfect solution we’re legally obligated to provide a safe as possible environment. 


We recognize that regulations are being updated weekly and while this requirement may shift, currently mask wearing as recommended by our governing bodies.

There may be clients who for a variety of reasons are uncomfortable with this request and as such we suggest that they delay their appointment until a later time.

Please reschedule if...

  • If you or somebody in your household have traveled outside Canada in the previous 14 days.

  • If you or somebody in your household has had symptoms of COVID-19 in the last 14 days; symptoms include fever, chills, new or worsening cough, shortness of breath, sore throat and new muscle aches or headache.

  • If you or somebody in your household is under the direction of the provincial health officer to self-isolate.

  • If you are or were in contact of a confirmed COVID-19 case.

  • If you are uncomfortable wearing a face mask for the duration of your appointment. 

  • If you are not comfortable having personal services performed considering current Covid risks involved.



What we require of you...

  • All clients will be required to wear masks while in the studio at all times. If you do not bring your own mask you will be required to purchase a medical mask in the studio at $4.00 per mask.

  • No guests, no minors, no exceptions. We will not be tattooing minors since a guardian is required to sign. As of June 2020 we are an 18+ studio. 

  • Belongings that are permitted — ID, keys, payment card, cash, cellphone —must be sanitized at the door and hands sanitized. 

  • Please leave items temporarily not permitted in the shop — large bags/purses, jackets, pillows, blankets, extra clothing etc — in your vehicle. Items not permitted will be bagged at the door if brought in. 

  • Show up at your appointment on time, doors are locked to limit patrons in studio. 

  • If you are unable to maintain the duration of your appointment due to financial concerns we need to know in advance. Example: If you are booked for a 6 hour session but only intend to get 2 or 3 hours of work done.

  • Abuse of any of these terms or negligent behavior in the studio will not be accepted and your appointment will be cancelled.




What we are doing for you...

  • We are now operating by appointment only and will not be letting clients in early; our doors will be locked at all times. We will not be providing a waiting area inside the studio for the time being. 

  • Due to extra cleaning and precautionary measures we will not be regularly answering phones. We will be taking messages via voicemail or email. 

  • We have set up a sanitation station in order for you to clean permitted items that will be entering your artists station. 

  • As previously enforced, stations will be fully cleaned/disinfected before and after each appointment.

  • Daily cleaning routines will now be performed between each client such as sanitizing our bathroom, doorknobs and any frequently touched items. 

  • All portfolios and magazines/books for entertainment purposes will be removed from the studio. We will continue maintaining our online portfolios for your viewing purposes. 

  • Hand sanitizer stations placed throughout the studio and in each tattoo booth.

  • Contact tracing in order to notify clients if they have came into contact with suspected or confirmed Covid cases.

  • We are no longer offering a coffee/tea station, we will continue to have water available.

  • We are enforcing a Strict No-Show policy, if you do not provide us with notice that you aren't coming we will not be rescheduling your appointment.
